The big 4 had argued the law, due to come into force on 20 May 2016, unlawfully took away their intellectual property. The High Court thankfully disagreed and stated that "It is wrong to view this issue purely in monetised terms alone, there is a significant moral angle which is embedded in the regulations which is about saving children from a lifetime of addiction, and children and adults from premature death and related suffering and disease."

Smoking kills about 6 million people worldwide every year.

Thank god, for the EU I wonder if the Brexit lot would have allowed such legislation? I doubt it.
