Although the domain name is now defuct the man was accused of running Scaricolibero.com and Filmgratis.tv and as a consequence was handed a 22 month suspended jail sentence for his role in running the business.

Worse was to follow as his parents also received suspended sentences because of their role in receiving the operation’s advertising  revenue into their bank account – some estimates were in the region of $300 a day from advertising.

The Italian authorities have cracked down and seized the two domains back in 2012 under a court order.
