The company Man & Machine Inc. has recently announced its trademark MIGHTY MOUSE was registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The registration is for the exclusive right to use the trade mark in connection with computer mice in the United States.

Back in 2008, Apple battled for the trade mark MIGHTY MOUSE as it was seeking to call its own brand Mac mouse the same name.

Further to a lawsuit which was filed by Man & Machine against Apple, it says that Apple began selling its Mighty Mouse over 1 year after it began selling waterproof and chemical resistant mice under the same name in 2004.

The lawsuit included the CBS network who owned the rights to the cartoon superhero mouse of the same name. Although Apple licensed use of the "Mighty Mouse" from CBS, Man & Machine successfully argued that CBS did not have the right to license the name in the context of an input device.
