It has been reported this week that Bridgestone has taken action against a competitor for trade mark infringement.

It is believed that an action for trade mark infringement has been taken by the Tyre/ Rubber manufacturer against Commerce Max Inc over the use in trade of the term 'Amberstone'.

Bridgestone are said to be contesting the use of the brand name as well as requesting an account of profits from the sale of the tires.

Full details of the claim and any defence are not yet known.
