Riyaz Jariwalla is the head of Lawdit’s litigation department and specialises in commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on High Court litigation concerning intellectual property rights. He has acted for clients across a wide range of industries including media, fashion and technology, and regularly advises on issues relating to the infringement of intellectual property rights. He has particular expertise on brand protection, copyright matters, domain name disputes, IT disputes, trade mark law and passing off.

Riyaz has recently been and continues to be involved in a number of complex High Court litigation cases concerning the infringement of intellectual property rights.

Riyaz has also developed a popular debt collecting service for Lawdit’s clients. It offers fixed fee costs for uncontested/crystallised debt collection (i.e. the debtor does not dispute that the debt is owed) and has proved an economic way of settling such debts. Quite simply sometimes just receiving a letter from a solicitor forces a parties hand as they know you are serious.

Riyaz is technically proficient in respect of computer programming, website design, the internet and legal matters relating to the same.
