SSL and Secure Servers

With our own SSL certificate and dedicated server we do all we can to ensure security is a priority.

As Lawdit accepts personal information from users, e.g. credit card information, we have set up our own dedicated server which we believe will protect our client's privacy by encrypting the transfer of data.

The industry standard for such crypting is called SSL, or Secure Socket Layer- orginally developed by Netscape.

SSL uses the standard RSA or IDEA ciphers for encryption, with public and private keys.

Michael J Coyle is starting his Mphil which will lead to a Phd relating to "Trust on the Internet" and a huge factor in the development of the Internet is that many users are afraid of sending credit card information over the network. From experience we have seen examples of web pages which were regular HTML, over non-secure communication lines, where users were asked to enter a credit card details. You are right to be cautious and you can never say a website is safe but we beleive we have done as much as we can to protect the information you provide us.
