Internet social networking site Facebook sues three men over phishing
In California USA, 3 men and the companies associated to them have been sued by Facebook for using phishing techniques to get access to Facebook user accounts and then sending spam from those accounts. Facebook filed the claim under the Can-Spam (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing) Act, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, the California Anti-Phishing Act and the California Computer Data Access and Fraud Act.
The defendants have allegedly been involved in spam campaigns targeting Facebook users over the last few years.
